about

Tenth and final movement, introducing neon. Neon has ten protons and electrons. The quick double beat is followed by eight beats for form ten. in the beginning of the piece. Its inner and outer shell are both full. It is called a noble gas, and such an element does not normally bond to any other elements. They don't need to share their electrons, as all are in pairs and there is not room for anymore unless they expand out into the next shell. However, if excited, an electron can be promoted up to the next shell. When it falls back down, a photon is given off, and thus the glow of neon. The process of a higher energy middle portion of the piece, followed by a burst of the photon musically, and ending with the slow moving and stable neon ends the suite. An appreciative ode to our completion of our journey to the element neon finalizes the piece.
